Riverfront Park
Municipal park along Susquehanna Riverbank
features Little League and High School ballfields, volleyball, basketball,
bocce court, playstructure, boat launch and 6' jogging paths. Main access road,
designed and constructed in 1991 with the aid of state RIRA grant, included
parking areas and entry sign. Picnic Pavillion was donated by local Rotary
club, and trail connections from park to other sites are currently under
construction. Haas Landscape Architects was the prime for implementing the
access road under RIRA guidelines. In 2000 HLA was commissioned to update the
Master Plan, including costs, study report, and a strategy for implementation.
Assisted with Urban Forestry grant, prepared Planting Plan and coordinated major
tree planting in 2001. |
