Towanda CBD
A comprehensive analysis and redesign of over a 10
block corridor of historic Main Street (SR 0006) and the surrounding Central
Business District of Towanda, Pa. Goal of the project is to create a unified
and viable urban downtown through provisions of landscaping, pedestrian and
traffic circulation improvements, and other visual and physical enhancements,
ultimately creating a setting to foster quality redevelopment efforts and a
"user-friendly" atmosphere. Study also included Implementation Strategies &
Costs, research of funding potentials, and parking study update. Numerous
planning meetings and presentation were prepared for the Borough Council and
other groups. Business and parking survey provided useful data. Final
Technical Report summarized findings and recommendations for implementation. |
