Olean Gateway
A joint undertaking by the project team of JHL
Tecture, Haas Landscape Architects, and Belden Associates, as a follow-up to the
recently completed comprehensive study entitled: "A Strategic Plan for
Downtown". This planning and design effort focuses on the mixed-use Gateway
District to this historic downtown. Analysis tasks include a thorough assesment
of existing site and building conditions and proposed developments. Contextual
relationships to adjacent land uses explored.
Design concepts for building facades and streetscape improvements are
currently being developed. Related issues include image, theme, signage, and
tourism.
Extensive coordination with City agencies, NYSDOT, and property owners
required to make for a feasible plan.
Final Report to include Implementation Strategies, Construction Costs,
Phasing, and Funding Strategy. Drawings and documentation to enable
construction documents to be prepared based on detail of conceptual design.
Workshops and Task Force meetings scheduled throughout process. |
