Tioga LWRP
A study of the 25 miles of the Susquehanna and
Chemung Rivers corridors to be incorporated into the planning and SEQR review
processes of the 7 riverfront communities, and tourism initiatives. The vision
is to protect and improve the riverfront environment, make it a more desirable
and accessible recreation resource for residents and visitors, protect adjacent
land use through innovative flood and erosion control projects, and encourage
economic development. This plan and its phased implementation are based on a
thorough inventory of existing conditions and a creative public process. It
provides a realistic vision of environmental stewardship and development of the
rivers as economic and recreational assets. HLA was prime consultant, leading a
diverse team of planners, engineers, and biologists. Funded by NYSDOS. |
