Lehigh Industrial Park
A full range of planning and design services
were provided to create a vision for
an historic site that was environmentally
neglected. The site, a former Lehigh
Valley Railroad Maintenance Facility
located in the northeast of the downtown
in the Borough of Sayre, Bradford
County, Pennsylvania. The site has the
designation of a Keystone Opportunity
Zone (KOZ), and is approximately one
mile from the New York - Pennsylvania
State border.
The 20+ acre site was expanded by 5
acres which was negotiated as a donation
from the Guthrie Healthcare System.
During site concept development, the
Consumers Water Service requested the
need to expand service to a nearby residential
neighborhood. This expansion
was facilitated by the design team Engineer
and implemented. A Phase 1 environmental
assessment was completed by
US Filters and Phase II site remediation
grants received for cleanup in 2001.
Three design concepts were prepared and
implementation strategies outlined for
the ultimate development of the parcel
for business and light industry.
The market assessment was completed
by M-BRS of Towanda in 1999. |
